FOI Administration Info

We're waiting for Alex Parsons to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Renfrewshire Council,

I would like to make an FOI request for the following pieces of information:

1. How many people are employed to deal with FOI?
2. What is the budget for administering FOI?
3. Do you use case management software for FOI? If so, which one?
4. Do you publish a disclosure log?

If not all information is available, please treat questions individually.

Yours faithfully,

Alex Parsons

Dear Alex Parsons

Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (″the 2002 Act″)

Renfrewshire Council received your request for information on 6 June.

Information requested

1. How many people are employed to deal with FOI?

2. What is the budget for administering FOI?

3. Do you use case management software for FOI? If so, which one?

4. Do you publish a disclosure log?

Response

1. The Council’s Records Manager, a member of the Council’s Information
Governance Team, has a co-coordinating role in dealing with FOI requests.
Compliance is devolved and so all Services are required to nominate a
departmental FOI officer or officers and to deal with Service specific FOI
requests.

2. There is no specific FOI budget as they are dealt with as part of the
Council’s normal business.

3. A SharePoint Database is used to track requests received by the
Council.

4. No disclosure log is published.

Review Procedure

If you are unhappy with the way in which the Council has dealt with your
request, you are entitled to require the Council to review its decision.
A copy of the Council’s review procedures is attached at Appendix I.

Yours sincerely

Andy Connor
