Dear, Mr. Parsons.

Thank you for your request for information dated 26/06/2018 concerning FOI
Statistics (2)

This is to inform you that your request has been considered and I can
provide the following response:

The Request:

I would like to make an FOI request for the following pieces of
information:

1. How many people are employed to deal with FOI?

The Information Compliance Team within Powys County Council is responsible
for managing the Council’s response and compliance with requests for
information made under the differing information request regimes of the
Freedom of Information Act 2000, the Environmental Information Regulations
2004 and the Data Protection Act 1998/General Data Protection Regulations
2016. However  staff within the service areas are responsible for ensuring
that the team are provided with the relevant information within prescribed
timescales. As such it is not possible to break down exactly how many
staff deal with FOI requests made.

However in terms of numbers of staff within the Information Compliance
team, there have until recently been 3 people in the Information
Compliance Team dealing with information requests.  The team has increased
from May to current position of 6, to action information requests and
support the Data Protection Officers in their mandatory duties under GDPR.

2. What is the budget for administering FOI? - *S1 (Below)*- please see
response given for Question 1 – we are unable to break down our budget
into FOI administration alone

3. Do you use case management software for FOI? If so, which one? – No.

4. Do you publish a disclosure log? – No.

Under Section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act a public authority is
required to inform you

1 (a) whether the information requested is held by the public authority,
and

(b) to have that information communicated if that is the case.

In this case the information requested is not held.

We believe that this request is now complete and shall be closed
immediately. Should any further information be requested regarding this
topic, a separate request will need to be submitted.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your interest in
Powys County Council.

Yours sincerely,

Information Compliance Team
