Freedom of Information,

Dear Mr Parsons,

I am writing to confirm that the Council has now completed its search for
the information which you requested on 26 June 2018 about FOI
administration.

The information supplied has been provided by the department responsible
for the service delivery.

1.    How many people are employed to deal with FOI?
Information requests are administered by the Council’s Information
Governance team, which is comprised of 2 employees.

2.    What is the budget for administering FOI?
The budget for Information Governance is £80,680. The Information
Governance team administers requests made under the Freedom of Information
Act, but also has a number of other responsibilities. These include
providing internal advice to the Council’s service areas on matters of
data protection and records management, ensuring the Council’s compliance
with the Local Government Transparency Code 2015 and coordinating
responses to requests from the public to exercise their rights under Data
Protection law (such as Data Subject Access Requests).

3.    Do you use case management software for FOI? If so, which one?
The Council uses Firmstep to process information requests.

4.    Do you publish a disclosure log?
No.

The information supplied to you continues to be protected by the
Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. You are free to use it for your
own purposes, including any non-commercial research you are doing and for

If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your
request and wish to make a complaint or request a review of our decision,
you should write to the Monitoring Officer, Grafton House, 15-17 Russell

If you are not content with the outcome of your complaint, you may apply
directly to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) for a decision.
Generally, the ICO cannot make a decision unless you have exhausted the
