The Humber Bridge Board is not subject to the Freedom of Information Act however the Board acknowledged on page 17 of the 2007-08 Annual Report its responsibility for public funds and the need to ensure decisions are "efficient transparent an accountable to local people".

The Board arguably meets the definition of public administration under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.
