Thank you for your request for information of 26/06/2018 which has been processed and considered under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002. The information is provided below.
1. How many people are employed to deal with FOI?
Three FTE Information Rights Officers are currently responsible for processing requests made under FOI(S)A and EIRs. One Information Rights Manager and one Records and Information Compliance Manager manage the process and oversee responses. The two Manager posts are not dedicated to FOI(S)A / EIRs but are also responsible for requests made under the Data Protection Act. In addition, the Records and Information Compliance Manager is responsible for general information compliance including records management for the Council. The team is also supported by a Business Support Administrator who is additionally responsible for other tasks within the Information Governance Unit (IGU).
2. What is the budget for administering FOI?
We do not hold this information. The FOI function is part of the larger IGU budget and therefore, this information is not held separately. Please note that this is a formal notice under section 17 of FOI(S)A that this information is not held.
The dedicated three IRO(s) are on the grade 6 salary scale which ranges from £24,029 to 28,688.00.
