This organisation is not subject to FOI but we list it here given its significant role in regulating access to the Emergency Medicine profession though its influence on eligibility for entry onto the Specialist Register. Entry onto the Specialist Register is a requirement for a consultant post in the NHS1.

The Royal College of Emergency Medicine's curriculum is the only Emergency medicine curriculum approved by the General Medical Council in the UK2. The college assesses individuals for eligibility for specialist registration and makes recommendations to the General Medical Council. 3
