The Press Complaints Commission closed on 8 September 2014 and has been replaced by the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO). The PCC was not subject to the Freedom of Information Act 2000 however it did perform a public regulatory function. The PCC enforced the Editor's Code of Practice, which bound all national and regional newspapers and magazines. We therefore listed this body on our website despite it not being subject to the Act.
