This body has ceased to exist as a distinct entity as it was brought back into Northumberland County Council.

On 1st April 2009, following Local Government Reorganisation within Northumberland, Blyth Valley Housing Limited changed its name to Homes for Northumberland Limited. On the same date, the company took on the management of the housing stock of the former Alnwick District Council in addition to the housing stock of the former Blyth Valley Borough Council.
