On 1st April 2009 Central Bedfordshire Council became a unitary authority. Bedfordshire County Council, Mid Bedfordshire and South Bedfordshire District Councils were abolished.

New FOI requests for information previously held by the former Bedfordshire County Council should be made to either Central Bedfordshire Council (http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/body/central_bedfordshire_council) or Bedford Borough Council (http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/body/bedford_borough_council). Both these successor bodies are unitary authorities. We suggest checking their websites to determine their responsibilities.
