According to the "FAQ" on its website Healthwatch Cambridgeshire is a "public interest company" commissioned by Cambridgeshire County Council, using money from the Department of Health.

Healthwatch Cambridgeshire is a body given powers by government enabling it to scrutinise local health and social care services. Cambridgeshire County Council has given the body a seat on its Health and Wellbeing Board.
