Health and Social Care Board for Northern Ireland

Part of the NHS in Northern Ireland and a body that is now defunct

On 1 April 2009 the Health and Social Care Board (HSCB) replaced the existing four Health and Social Services Boards. It focused on commissioning, resource management and performance management and improvement. As a result of the Health and Social Care Act 2022 (Northern Ireland), the regional Health and Social Care Board (HSCB) was closed on the 31 March 2022. On 1 April 2022, all functions of the HSCB transferred to the Strategic Planning and Performance Group (SPPG) of the Department of Health (Northern Ireland).
