Civil Nuclear Police Authority

A policing body and a police authority, also called CNPA

A police authority is an independent body made up of people whose job it is to set the strategic direction for the local police force and hold the chief constable to account on behalf of the public. If you need to make a FOI request on operational police matters please address your request to the police force. The Civil Nuclear Police Authority oversees the Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) and must ensure that their policing meets the need of the nuclear operating companies. CNPA is an executive non-departmental public body, sponsored by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy.
